The Lady Trojans are back with senior VYPE Top 100 nominee Jill Twiehaus who has committed to Rice University as well as fellow senior Amirah White who brings a next level skill set to the court as well. “Amirah White is a senior that should have a really good season. She can finish at the rim and spread the floor and knock down shots. She is like a Swiss army knife and can do a little bit of everything,” said head coach Will Seymour. The tandem of Twiehaus and White will create challenges for opponents this season. Add Hazel Ifeoma, a talented freshman who stands out on the floor, and you have a trio of players who can score and play solid defense. Coach Seymour said of Ifeoma, “she is physical, aggressive and does a lot of the little things that lead to success.” Winnie Zhang is the type of player every team needs on the roster. “Winnie is one of the leaders on the team. Everyone looks up to how hard she works every day and never takes shortcuts. As a coach, she is the type of kid you love coaching because you know what to expect and what you will get every day. She pushes her team and sets the tone for practice,” said Seymour. Also look for Addi Dodder (Jr.) who is the vocal leader of the team. “She is always willing to compliment others, have a positive mindset and work toward her goals. She pushes her teammates to be their best and you can always hear her during drills,” said Seymour. Assisting coach Seymour are Amanda Taylor, Hanna Giddens, and Alec Bisogno.
