JENKS TROJANS
BOYS
Coach: Daniel McChesney
22-23 Record: 13-10
Coach Daniel McChesney takes over the Trojan basketball program after the team went 13-10 a year ago. There are a lot of new faces on the roster according to coach McChesney. “New coaching staff and player transfers/graduates means a lot of new faces this year. One returning starter, but a team hungry to prove they can compete. District play this year adds to the changes this team faces,” said McChesney. Carter Mundy (6-0, Sr.) is a three-year starter and will run the point for the Trojans this season. “He has flown under the radar because of the star power around him the previous few years. Will be the leader of the team and will showcase more of his offensive ability than previous years,” said McChesney. Evan Goodwin (6-1, So.) is one of the top shooters on the team and possibly in the state. “Evan is more than just a shooter however, having a knack for the offensive end and a natural ability to find creative ways to get his shot off. Evan will be a household name in high school basketball by years end,” said McChesney. One of the vocal leaders is Milo Stufflebeam (6-5, Sr.) at forward. Known as a tough, selfless player, is the anchor on the defensive end of the floor. Other players to watch include Jeff Fletcher (6-5, Sr.), Grant Bowler (6-2, Sr.), Colter Adams (6-0, Sr.), Simian Gilkey (6-3, Sr.), Omari Robinson (6-2, Jr.), Jace Johnson (6-1, Jr.), Aiden Lowe (6-1, Jr.), Carson Mariska (6-2, Jr.), Jace Morgan (6-4, Jr.), Carter Mardis (6-5, So.), and Nate Lyon (6-1, Fr.). Assisting coach McChesney are Kalin Dahl, Draper Sturdivant, and former standout Trojan Hutch Peterson.
