Getting to know Jenks’ Chandler Fowler – Presented by Woodland West Pet Resort

VYPE: What are your goals for this season?

Chandler: My goal this season is to win state most of all, and other than that, just have a good time playing one more year with my boys.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Chandler: Baseball has taught me to get stuff done, even when you don’t feel like doing anything.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Chandler: My favorite teacher I’ve ever had is a tough one. I would say I have two, my third grade teacher, Ms. Webster, because she was my first teacher at Jenks and helped me move in comfortably, and my other favorite is Mr. Olsen. He was my social studies teacher my junior year and he made his class fun, and I actually learned more there than anywhere else.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Chandler: My dad inspires me everyday. He has always done his best for our family and he is also a great leader. He shows me what it’s like to be a Godly man.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Chandler: My brother has left the biggest impression on me as a teammate. He was playing shortstop his senior year during my sophomore year and he always was encouraging me when I struggled with controlling my emotions.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Chandler: My favorite part about being on a team is honestly that if I have a terrible day that doesn’t mean we are gonna lose, and also just the memories and jokes we get to share.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Chandler: If I could go on vacation anywhere I would go to Brazil and I would bring my family and just walk around in the jungle or something.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Chandler: I am passionate about my sport because I love being able to share this passion with my brother and dad, and I also love how you see something new everyday on the baseball field.
