Jenks’ Kaydin Jones “Woke up a Cowboy” – Presented by Tulsa Bone & Joint

“I felt like I had to stay home, represent my home state of Oklahoma,” Jones told reporters on his announcement day.

The four-star running back for the Trojans will take his talents to Stillwater and play for the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Landing Jones is a big deal for the Cowboys and head coach Mike Gundy. Jones joins a long list of running backs who have called OSU home.

Kejuan Jones, Kaydin’s father, was an OU running back out of Jenks, but the legacy factor wasn’t enough to convince “KD” to follow in his father’s footsteps.

On Thursday morning (March 27th) a day after committing, Jones tweeted on X, “Woke up a Cowboy.”

The Class of 2026 Jenks Trojan is expected to have a big year for the Trojans under new head coach Adam Gaylor.

Jones’ short list of possible schools included Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisville, Vanderbilt, and OSU.
