VYPE: Jace, what grade are you in and when did you start playing basketball?
Jace Johnson: I’m a senior and I started playing basketball when I was five years old
VYPE: You’re known as a defensive player, what do you think is the strength of your game and what have you improved the most this season?
JJ: The strength of my game is my defense, and this season I have improved on being more aggressive on offense.
VYPE: Which teammate keeps everyone laughing and who is the most serious?
JJ: Ilias Tata keeps everyone laughing, and Jace Morgan and I are the most serious.
VYPE: What’s your favorite memory as a Jenks Trojan?
JJ: My favorite memory is the mustang tournament.
VYPE: What makes Jenks HS a great place to be a student-athlete?
JJ: My coaches that believe in me make JHS a good place for me as a student athlete
VYPE: Which teammate has impressed you the most this season?
JJ: Ryan Goodwin has impressed me this year.
VYPE: How do you mentally prepare yourself to compete?
JJ: I think of all of the work that I’ve put in prior to the competition to mentally prepare myself
VYPE: What do you love most about this team?
JJ: I love how much fun we all have, and I also do long jump in track
VYPE: What is the goal for life after high school?
JJ: My goal in life after high school is to become a licensed plumber or get a construction management degree and be great at whatever I end up pursuing.
