VYPE: What grade are you currently in and how long have you been playing basketball?
Ryan Goodwin: I’m currently in 10th grade and have been playing basketball since I was a child.
VYPE: What position do you play and what position would you like to play?
RG: I’m a shooting guard/point guard and I feel like I fit that role really well.
VYPE: What opponent do you look forward to playing this season?
RG: I definitely look forward to playing Bixby mainly because they’re our rivals but beating Owasso would be nice too.
VYPE: What is the toughest gym to play in over the road?
RG: In my opinion Bixby is one of the hardest gyms to play in because they’re our rivals so they bring a lot of energy into the game.
VYPE: What teammate can you beat in a game of pig?
RG: Definitely my brother Evan, easiest opponent.
VYPE: Who is the greatest basketball player of all time?
RG: Greatest player of all time no doubt is Ben Simmons, no question.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life and why?
RG: Definitely my biggest influence is my dad, he always pushes me to be a better person and does everything in his power to make sure I’m working hard. I wouldn’t be here without him, and I am very thankful for everything he’s done for me.
VYPE: What is your favorite school subject and who is your favorite teacher?
RG: My favorite subject is definitely chemistry, but my favorite teachers are my basketball coaches.
VYPE: What are your plans for after graduation?
RG: After graduation I plan on going to medical school and pursuing my career.
