The Rodman family has been a mainstay in Jenks athletics for several years. Bella Rodman is the latest Rodman sister to add her name to a long list of great athletes who called Jenks High School home.
Support from coaches, faculty and administrators has played an important role in her career, but the support at home has been the foundation for a great career.
“It is important to have support at home because I know they will always be there for me no matter what and always want what’s best for me,” Bella said.
Inspiration also comes from home in the form of her mother, who has spent countless hours supporting her teams and helping in any way possible.
“My mom inspires me because she is such a good and loving person and always knows what to do. I yearn to be like her when I grow up,” Bella said.
The Rodman legacy is solidified thanks to the play and dedication of the Rodman sisters and family. Bella wants to be remembered as a good person not just a great athlete.
“I want to be remembered as a good person and someone you can lean on or look up too,” Bella said.
Bella said Jenks is a special place and having her sisters come before her helped clear a path for her to follow.
“I learn to work harder than I ever have. Playing with them pushed me to be a letter player every day. I always looked up to them when I was younger and strived to me like them,” said Bella. “Jenks is a special place for me because I have gone here since kindergarten and will always be what I think about when I get older thinking back to my old high school days.”
