VYPE: Sophia, how long have you played golf?
Lefler: I have been playing golf for almost 10 years.
VYPE: What grade are you in and what do you love about being a student-athlete at Jenks?
Lefler: I am a junior. I love all of the friends I have made through golf, and the great coaches and practice facilities that we have.
VYPE: How does the team look this season?
Lefler: The team has been working very hard and we are very competitive. The 6A field this year is very tough, but we are excited to compete.
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
Lefler: I love the bond I have made with each of my teammates.
VYPE: What’s your favorite memory while playing golf?
Lefler: My favorite memory on the course would have to be when I made a hole in one. The best round I have played was at South Lakes Golf Course and I shot a 67.
VYPE: Do you belong to any clubs or groups at school?
Lefler: I am in FCCLA and Student council.
VYPE: What part of your game are you working to improve this season?
Lefler: I have been working on improving my short game.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite course you enjoy playing?
Lefler: My favorite courses to play are ones on the beach. I love looking at the scenery while I play golf.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate and what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Lefler: After I graduate, I would like to play golf in college. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends.
