Jenks High School softball player Kenzie Cothran said the softball team at Jenks is special
thanks to the chemistry everyone shares.
“I enjoy most getting to play with all my friends and the chemistry with the team we have
built over the years even we lose seniors and gain new people. This group has great
chemistry and for me, teams I have been on always play better when they have good
chemistry in the team,” said Cothran.
The junior is quick to mention those teammates who she believes will have big seasons.
“Our two middle infielders Bella Rodman (2nd baseman/pitcher) and Jordyn Cook
(shortstop) are two players to watch. They both do a really good job at their positions, and
they show up at the plate as well,” said Cothran.
Cothran, also a member of Drug Free Youth, said her favorite subject in school is science.
“My favorite subject in school is science, I just find it very interesting. My favorite teacher is
Mrs. Amber Johnson, she was my pre calc and trig teacher. Jenks High is a great place to be
a student-athlete because the athletics at Jenks are great programs to play in and being a
student and athlete at the same time is hard, but the teachers do understand if you miss
and help you catch back up,” said Cothran.
Cothran said after she graduates, she would like to attend college and pursue a degree in
nursing or physical therapy.
“It seems like something interesting to me and something that will fit me personally,” said
Cothran.
