VYPE: What are your goals for this season?
Emma: My goals for this season are to win state with my teammates, who are also my best friends, to push myself to be the best teammate I can be, and to prepare myself to play collegiate soccer for the next four years.
VYPE: What has soccer taught you that you use in your daily life?
Emma: Soccer has taught me to have organizational, time-management and leadership skills. It has also taught me to be a team player and always think about the people around me. The last thing soccer has taught me was to never give up because there will constantly be obstacles in the way of your goals but it’s what you’re willing to do to get past them that will help you later on.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Emma: My favorite teacher was Mrs. Kelly. She was my 5th grade math teacher and she pushed me to be a hardworking student while also making her class enjoyable and fun.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Emma: My parents and my sister inspire me everyday. They are constantly encouraging me to be a better person and are always there for me.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Emma: The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me is Hannah Wright. She was a constant leader on and off the field and was always lending a helping hand.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Emma: My favorite part about being on a team is the relationships that you build with your teammates, always having each other’s backs, and finding forever friends.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Emma: If I could pick any place for a summer vacation it would be Greece. I’ve always wanted to go there since watching the movie, “Mama Mia.” I would take my family and best friends with me.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Emma: I am passionate about soccer because it’s all I know. I have grown up playing soccer most of my life and it’s in my blood. Playing soccer just makes me feel good!
VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.
Emma: I would thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for always pushing and supporting me. My parents are my number one fans and I wouldn’t be who I am today without their support.
