Jenks girls basketball coach Mike Acord and the Lady Trojans have a talented roster with several players looking to make the move to the next level. Jenks senior Kiara Brown is one of those players.
The forward has enjoyed a solid career and Jenks and is ready to take the next step and play in college. We caught up with Brown before her final season came to a close with Jenks.
VYPE: Kiara, what age did you start playing basketball?
Brown: I’ve been playing basketball since the fifth grade.
VYPE: What does your team and teammates mean to you?
Brown: They mean everything to me because without them I can’t accomplish my goals.
VYPE: What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Jenks?
Brown: I love the school support and being challenged academically in the classroom and on the court.
VYPE: What could we find you doing in your free time? Assuming you have any.
Brown: In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and playing basketball.
VYPE: Where do you stand on selecting a college for this fall?
Brown: I have not decided where I’m going yet.
