VYPE: Isabella, what do you love most about being a student athlete at Jenks HS?
Suttee: I love that Jenks High School takes pride in their athletics. They provide a great support system for the athletes as well. I can enjoy my sport, be in great classes, and have a lot of people rooting for me.
VYPE: What grade are you in and how long have you played golf?
Suttee: I am a senior and I have played golf since I was seven years old.
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
Suttee: The thing I love most about my teammates is how uplifting they are. Even if we have a bad day we are always leaving laughing and enjoying each other’s company. They never fail to lift each other up and encourage each other.
VYPE: Do you belong to any clubs or groups at school?
Suttee: I am Student Council President at Jenks High School. I am also involved in the leadership team with Younglife, and I started my own club, Young Americans Foundation at the high school my sophomore year. I am also involved in Drug Free Youth, National Honor Society, and the Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT).
VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?
Suttee: I would say my favorite subject in school would be history or my leadership class. Some of my favorite teachers are my STUCO advisors, Mrs. Henry, Mrs. Caruthers, and Mr. Olsen.
VYPE: What part of your game have you worked to improve?
Suttee: I am always working to improve every part of my game, but at the moment my short game and short irons are what I’m focusing on. My goal is to get more greens in regulation and improve my putting.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
Suttee: I plan to attend the University of Oklahoma and major in Sports Business. After that I hope to go to Law school.
VYPE: How is the team looking for this season?
Suttee: I feel that our team is looking really good! We have so many talented girls and I believe that we are able to accomplish anything we put our minds to!
VYPE: Do you have a favorite course to play?
Suttee: My very favorite course that I have played is Sandpiper and Santa Barbara it was so beautiful. But locally I love playing Golf Club of Oklahoma.
