Jenks Trojans – Football Team Preview – Presented by BancFirst Jenks

JENKS TROJANS

Coach: ADAM GAYLOR

10-2

Jenks looks loaded for a serious 6AI title push in 2026 after a record-setting offensive season a year ago. The Trojans went 10-2 in 2025 and return eight starters on both sides of the football, giving seventh-year head coach Adam Gaylor one of the most experienced rosters in the state’s largest class. Last fall they averaged 53 points per game—the second-highest mark in school history—while piling up 513 yards per game and 3,270 passing yards, both program records, and much of that production is back. Last year’s record breaker, KD Jones, was named Mr. Football Oklahoma, the third player from Jenks to receive the honor.

Offensively, Jenks will again operate out of a multiple spread, fast-tempo, no-huddle system that stresses defenses vertically and horizontally. Senior quarterback Landon Kizzar (6-1, 185) returns after throwing for 3,000 yards and 29 touchdowns with a 74 percent completion rate and only four interceptions, giving the Trojans a proven distributor with excellent efficiency. His top target is senior receiver and Top 100 nominee Kailib Dillard (6-2, 185), who produced 1,300 receiving yards on 75 catches while also making 80 tackles and four interceptions on defense; he already ranks among the top three in Jenks history for single-season receptions and yards and holds offers from Oregon, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Arkansas. Senior running back Clark Cariker (5-11, 180) adds balance after rushing for 400 yards and five scores, while senior receivers Jaylon Cato (5-10, 175) added 500 receiving yards, two TDs and tight end Braxton Daniel (6-3, 215) accounted for 545 yards, six TDs, an eye-popping 34 yards per catch, round out a dangerous skill group. Senior tackle Odaefe Oruru (6-6, 315) and sophomore right tackle Jamison Mobley—who started 12 games as a true freshman and is described as the most gifted lineman Gaylor has coached in over 20 years—headline a massive offensive line.

Pearce Brann

Defensively, the Trojans return eight starters and will employ multiple looks built from 3-4 and 4-2-5 fronts with a variety of coverages and simulated pressures. Dillard doubles as a standout defensive back (80 tackles, four interceptions), while fellow senior DB Nashua Charslon (6-0, 190) led the unit with 95 stops last season. Up front, senior lineman Luke McInelly (6-1, 275) anchors the trenches after notching 70 tackles, four sacks and 15 tackles for loss. Senior linebacker Pearce Brann (6-0, 190)—a team captain and member of the school’s Student Athlete Leadership Team, student council and football leadership council—returns after a 75-tackle season. Junior edge/linebacker Carson Odom (6-2, 225) and senior edge defender Orlando Williams (6-1, 230) bring length and production off the edge, combining for 105 tackles, six sacks and 13 tackles for loss. With that experience and versatility, Jenks plans to disguise looks, bring pressure from different levels and make opponents earn every yard. With elite skill talent, a veteran quarterback, a high-ceiling offensive line and a defense full of returning playmakers, the Trojans see 2026 as a year where they can chase more records—and more importantly, championships.
