Check out these players who are expected to have great seasons on the court and mat this winter.
Evan Goodwin – Basketball
Known for being a great shooter, Goodwin may not be flying under the radar after December. Goodwin has the ability get off the shot in very creative ways. Coach Daniel McChesney said Goodwin will be a household name by the end of the season. Goodwin is a 6-foot-1 guard in his sophomore season.
Carter Mardis – Basketball
Entering his sophomore season, Carter Mardis may be a role player now for the Trojans, but at 6-foot-5, the forward could come into his own this season and make a big impact. If he continues to improve, Mardis could be an X-factor for the Trojans this season.
Hazel Ifeoma – Basketball
Only a freshman, Hazel Ifeoma has been a standout in early practices for the Lady Trojans and head coach Will Seymour. A physical and aggressive player, Ifeoma does a lot of the little things that lead to success according to coach Seymour.
Josh Henderson – Wrestling
A multi-sport athlete at Jenks, Josh Henderson comes into the season ranked No. 7 at 157- pounds. Henderson is focused on making the most of this season and appears to be ready to make a run at the state tournament.
