5 Impact Players Flying Under the Radar

Jenks is known for winning championships, those close to the program also know the
legacy kids and Jenks lifers make a huge impact every year. Here are a few players I expect
to have big seasons for the Trojans.

5 Jack Franklin – P – 6-2, 205, Sr.

That’s right, the punter. This season Jenks has several players who are listed at
kicker/punter, but Franklin is the best option at punter. The senior has a big leg with
excellent hang time. Flipping the field is important and Franklin does that for the Trojans.

4 Lucas Huston – RG – 6-0, 252, Sr.

Opening holes and moving defensive linemen is something Huston does best. His toughness
is on display when the Trojan offense is on the field. Huston is at home in the trench and
embraces that trench life to the fullest.

3 Jack McInelly – LB – 5-11, 207, Jr.

Another physical linebacker for the Trojans, McInelly is a sideline-to-sideline backer and
loves contact. His relentless pursuit and ball awareness is what makes him an impact
player. He fits the mold of Jenks linebackers of the past.

2 Jack Wiltshire – RT – 6-2, 232, Jr.

A big piece of the puzzle up front for the Trojans, Wiltshire is a legacy player whose father
played at Jenks and the University of Tulsa. Wiltshire has made huge improvements over
the offseason and is the cornerstone of the right side of the offensive line.

1 Brody Henderson – TE/LB/LS – 6-4, 195, Jr.

Henderson is a program kid who plays in all three phases of the game for the Trojans. Quick
off the edge at linebacker and a big target in the passing game, Henderson also serves as
the team’s long snapper. His contributions are big for Jenks and I expect him to solidify his
spot in Trojan lore when his playing days come to an end.
