The Jenks girls’ golf program has recorded at least one state title in every decade since the 80s. The program has 16 titles total with the last state championship coming in 2023.
The 2026 team is fired up and focused according to head coach Audra Smalley.
“We are definitely looking forward to the spring season. The girls have been working very hard from the end of last season. They were not satisfied with how last year ended and wanted to do everything possible to put their best foot forward,” coach Smalley said.
Leading the way is Lisa Herman who won an individual state championship as a freshman and is back as a senior to close out her high school career. This fall Herman won three tournaments and has plans to take her talents to the University of Mississippi this fall.
Three-year starter Kate Dixon is clutch when it comes to handling the pressure and making the shot. Dixon is a junior this season.
Also look for Tori Kirberger, a senior and two-year starter who was instrumental in the team’s success last season. Kirberger has signed with Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina where she will compete in the Big South Conference.
