Bella Rodman Talking Jenks Softball – Presented by RibCrib

By Jinny Baker

VYPE: What grade are you currently in and how long have you been playing softball?

Bella Rodman: I am a junior and I have been playing softball for as long as I can remember. I have two older sisters who also play softball, so I have been around it for a long time.

VYPE: What are your plans for after graduation?

BR: I am committed to play softball at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado after I graduate. I get the opportunity to play alongside my older sister Natalie Rodman at a collegiate level which is so special to me!

VYPE: What other clubs or groups are you involved in at school?

BR: I’m proud to be part of the Native American Club on campus.

VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life and why?

BR: My biggest influences are my parents; they are a huge part of my life and a big reason why I am given the opportunity to play softball every day. I’m so thankful that my parents are able to take me to every game and are always there to support me.

VYPE: Who on the team keeps everyone laughing, who is the most serious, and who has the best impression of your coach?

BR: Brylie Blossom is always keeping everyone laughing and having a positive attitude, she keeps everyone smiling and motivated. Jessie Ammann is always ready for anything and is focused 100% of the time. She truly gives it her all. The best impression of the coach is Teylor Hedges. She has really done a lot for us as a freshman this year and is a great team player overall, she fits right in.

VYPE: Who is the loudest teammate in the dugout?

BR: The loudest teammate is Jordyn Cook on and off the field. She is always cheering on the pitcher while on the field and the loudest in the dugout as well.

VYPE: What is your thought process at the plate?

BR: At the plate I like to clear my head and have a positive mindset.

VYPE: What position do you play and what position would you like to play?

BR: My favorite position to play on the field is second base.

VYPE: What is your favorite field to play on and why?

BR: My favorite field to play at is the Jenks Home Field because of the environment and excitement it brings to the team. I always feel my best when playing at home.
