Jenks High School senior Sarah Scott is a defensive specialist for the varsity volleyball team. The No. 8 ranked Lady Trojans are 13-9 with several games left to play in October. Scott said she has been impressed with her teammates play.
“I am very impressed by one of our freshmen, Cassidy Williams. She took a step up as a freshman and is just killing this season,” said Scott.
Williams isn’t the only player making headlines as the team looks toward post season play. Scott said there are players who make her laugh and keep things light and more serious players.
“I think everyone would agree that Mylee Moore is 100 percent the most serious, and Lola Ojo is the one who can make anyone laugh,” said Scott.
During her time on the court, Scott said she has made many special memories with her teammates.
“My favorite memory was the varsity lock in last year in 2023 before state. I got really close with last year’s team and made memories with them I will never forget,” said Scott.
In the classroom Scott said she enjoys math, and her favorite teachers are her choir directors Michael Shimp and Lisa Lahmeyer. Scott said the people at Jenks make it a special place to be a student.
“The environment and the people make it all worthwhile,” said Scott.
After graduation in May, Scott plans to attend nursing school and work toward becoming a nurse anesthetist (CRNA).
