VYPE: Mylee, how is the volleyball team looking this season?
Mylee Moore: I think our team really meshes together well. We are all close and friendly outside the court, which builds our bond on the court.
VYPE: When did you start playing volleyball?
MM: I started playing volleyball in seventh grade, but I actually didn’t know it was the sport for me until I was a sophomore. That’s when I really began to enjoy it.
VYPE: Is volleyball the only activity you’re involved in?
MM: Volleyball is my main focus, but I also dance ballet.
VYPE: What makes Jenks HS a great place for student-athletes?
MM: Jenks has such amazing facilities for both academics and athletics. They really want us to succeed in everything that we do.
VYPE: We’ve heard you have a strong work ethic, where does that come from?
MM: My work ethic was taught to me by my parents. I could never have asked for better role models. They’ve worked very hard to get my family to where we are now. They’re the best!
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
MM: I think the fact that I’ve grown through the years with my fellow seniors has been the most amazing experience. We’ve seen each other through our highs and our lows, and I truly think of them as friends, not just teammates.
VYPE: How do you like to spend your free time?
MM: When I’m not playing volleyball, I’m reading, writing, playing with my three dogs, or serving at my church.
VYPE: Who has made a big impact in your life?
MM: The person who has made the greatest impact on my life is my mom. Everyday, she is a role model for me, and she constantly uplifts me when I am ever down on myself. She is who I aspire to be when I’m older.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
MM: After high school I will attend OSU as an English major and hopefully go into publishing.
