A senior at Jenks High School, Jesper Ohlson is a member of the Trojan tennis team. To ensure that he is at his best when he steps out on the court, he also trains at the RH91 tennis center. He says that the instruction that he receives there has been very beneficial to his game.

“Without RH91, I would not be as good as I am,” he said. “The coaches and facilities there are great.”

Ohlson says it takes a lot to be successful, but he works hard to keep himself motivated.

“It has taken many hours of training,” he stated. “There have also been many hours of rehabbing. Time and having a solid mentality are all that it really is. Any time I can get a win, it gives me the motivation to keep working harder so I can enjoy that again.”

One of his coaches at RH91 has made a big impact on Jesper and he attributes his growth and success to him.

“My instructor at RH91, coach Matias, has been a big influence on my tennis game and my life,” he said. “He has been my coach for many years and I am truly thankful for all that I have learned from him.”

Jesper has enjoyed making a lot of great memories and enjoying a lot of outstanding experiences during his time playing tennis. But out of all of them, he says that there is one that stands out as his favorite.

“I think the highlight moment of my career would have to be when I was named Player of the Day at UTSA Nationals in Kalamazoo. It was a really proud moment.”

Along with playing tennis for Jenks, Ohlson is also a member of the Chinese Club and the National Honor Society. He also enjoys checking out his social media.

“My favorite person I follow on social media is Keem, because he is a good music artist and has two phones.”
